Shah Jahan & Jahanara - Part of History Avoided
Shah Jahan made his daughter Jahanara his wife after the death of his wife Mumtaz.
Why were we not taught this in history?
Let us know how leftist historians called the emperor of lust, the messiah of love.
In the history of the country, leftist historians have always called the lustful Mughals great, out of which Shahjahan has been presented as an example of love and why not, if the man who kept eight thousand women in his harem shows more interest in one of them, then it will be called his love.
You will be surprised to know that Mumtaz's name was not Mumtaz Mahal, rather her real name was 'Arjumand-Banu-Begum'.
Moreover, the love between Shahjahan and Mumtaz, which is so much talked about, was neither Shahjahan's first wife nor his last.
Mumtaz was the fourth of Shah Jahan's seven prime wives.
This means that Shah Jahan had married three times before Mumtaz, and even after marrying her he was not satisfied even after that he married three more times.
Even within a week of Mumtaz's death, he married her sister Farzana, whom he had kept as his mistress.
If Shah Jahan loved Mumtaz so much then why did he marry 3 more times even after marrying Mumtaz?
The most beautiful among Shahjahan's seven wives was not Mumtaz but Ishrat Bano, who was his first wife.
When she married Shahjahan, Mumtaz was not a virgin but she was also married and her husband was a Subedar in Shahjahan's army whose name was 'Sher Afghan Khan'.
Shahjahan married Mumtaz after killing Sher Afghan Khan.
It is also worth noting that 38-year-old Mumtaz did not die of any disease or accident but due to extreme weakness, while giving birth to the fourteenth child, i.e. Shah Jahan killed her by turning her into not just a child-producing machine but a factory.
Shah Jahan was so notorious for his lust that many historians have even accused him of having sex with his own daughter Jahanara.
Shah Jahan and Mumtaz's elder daughter Jahanara looked exactly like her mother, which is why after Mumtaz's death, Shah Jahan started enjoying his own daughter Jahanara in her memory.
Shah Jahan loved Jahanara so much that he did not even allow her to get married.
Seeing this love between father and daughter, when a discussion started in the palace, a meeting of Mullahs was called and they quoted a Hadith to justify this sin and said – “The gardener has the right to eat the fruit of the tree planted by him.”
Not only this, he did not allow any of Jahanara's lovers to come near her.
It is said that once when Jahanara was making love with one of her lovers, Shah Jahan arrived and out of fear he hid in the tandoor of the harem. Shah Jahan set the tandoor on fire and burnt him alive.
